Hello MomShees! In today’s video, we’ll talk about how to transcribe audio to text and how you could earn $20 or more just by transcribing audio to text. And since it’s upcoming of the new year, I have a bonus hack that I would like to share with you so that you can automatically transcribe an audio or video to text. So if you’re ready, we’ll start right now! There are a lot of momShees out there, especially beginners who don’t have the skills yet that are looking for simple online data entry jobs and transcription jobs is one of those lists that I would like to recommend to all of you. Since there are people who now make podcasts and YouTube channels and videos so, transcription is one of those jobs that are in-demand especially next year. We have an interview with momShee Gray, who is a transcriptionist and she would like to share her experiences, valuable tips and advises, including the list of online websites where we can also apply as a transcriptionist. One of the websites is www.rev.com, QA world, gotranscript, Scribie and everything else! However, did you also know that some services or gigs are being offered on Fiverr for transcription jobs? Well, that’s what I would like to teach all of you where you can also earn $5 – $20 or more just by transcribing audio to text. So, let’s begin as I walk you through with my computer. To check where to find transcription jobs, all you have to do is to go to “Writing and Translation”, and then Transcripts. You will also see that there are sellers that offer their transcription gigs. And one of my inspirations is TransExpert. I believe she is a Pinay because of the way she speaks. And I felt motivated through her. I saw the potential of earning on Fiverr through her orders about transcription jobs. And by the way, just a disclaimer, I am not a transcription expert. Though I have an experience before working as a transcriptionist but that was because it’s part of my job as a virtual assistant. My client sends me tasks via audio notes which I have to transcribe then send it back in Word document form. But this time, I want to create a Fiverr gig and I saw Transcription as one of the ways we can earn money like $5 or more! Actually it’s $5 to $20, or more. When I checked on TransExpert’s profile, I saw the list of her gigs from Standard pricing of $5 to Premium for about $20. Other sellers can get a chance to mark up their pricing, depending on your experience. You can start with $5 if you are a beginner as a Transcriptionist. So, how do we create a gig? First, simply go to the “switch to buying”. This time, you are going to sell your gigs. After that, click on Gigs and then, create a new gig. So, I recently created my gig. It’s in the middle. It’s called “Provide quality transcript” I’ll walk you through on how to do it. I will click on “edit” for you to see the contents of my gig for transcription. All you have to do is to click “create a new gig” and then you need to fill-up all the information needed. Now, I’ll go back to my transcription gig, so we can create the same steps as I did with my transcription gig and you can also see the step by step process and know what information to include when you create your transcription gig. In your gig, click the down arrow on the right and choose “edit” In the gig title, I checked on TransExpert’s profile, and I refer to her Fiverr gig for some information, along with other sellers. You can do the same, you just have to edit or revise some parts of your information and make sure you only include those lists which you can fully commit, and do not include anything that you haven’t plan to do in your transcription gig. In the gig title, the words “I will” are automatically been placed at the start of the statement. All you need to do is put additional words or phrases. Let’s say “I will provide quality transcripts for any English audio or video. On TransExpert’s profile, she included the number of minutes like, “for 10 minutes”. but I didn’t include that in my gig because I am a beginner for this task. In Category, choose Writing and Translation, and then Transcripts on the sub-category. On the Language, set the dialect that you can do. Normally, I choose English and Filipino. Others also choose the same. But if you are familiar with other languages, you can just include that here by putting on a checkmark on the list. And then for the search tags, choose up to 5 keywords. When we say “search tags”, it’s equivalent to keywords. Those words appear when clients are searching for sellers on Fiverr. So you can use “audio transcription”, “transcriber”, “audio to text”, or anything that you plan to include. When you try typing a word on the search tags, you may notice that there are words that appear while you type a specific word. You can just pick one from the list of words like audio-recording, audio to text, it’s up to your strategy. Like what I tried with my search tags. If you think that there’s something that doesn’t follow, you can just go back, edit, revise, improve so that there will be a bigger chance for a client to notice you and opt for your gig. Click on save if finished. The next step is Pricing. For the packages, you may choose up to 3 or you may also choose 1 package. It will be much better if you have 3 options. The first one is the Basic package. I refer my choices with TransExpert’s package and edited some details. I input “Standard Bronze”, you can put basic or any title to your standard package. So you can just copy the same information and then revise, including delivery time frame which is 7 days or earlier, it depends on you. The quicker, the better. I only added number of speakers that I can transcribe. You may choose up to 2 speakers. And if you still have something to add to your $5 package, you may do so, or you can check or un-check your list. You may do the same on Standard and Premium packages There are differences in terms of pricing, for example, Standard package costs $10, while Premium costs $20. You also need to decide on the delivery time frame for each of your packages You don’t need to copy everything from my gig. This is just a guide that I made for you. For additional services or extras, you may put a check on the boxes listed below. I only included timestamps as additional services. Timestamps in transcription mean inserting time codes in a transcript at specified intervals. You may charge an additional $20 if time stamping is included in your extra service or you may just leave it blank. Click save when done. For the description: I also referred to TransExpert’s profile then I made a few edits, you may do the same. I added extra information and highlighted some of the words for emphasis. For the searchable tags or keywords, my advice is to look for a keyword that would best represent your gig title, description and searchable tags. For example, if you use ‘video transcription’ as your keyword, it’s one way a client can view your profile on Fiverr, so if a client type the words ‘video transcription’, there’s a chance of finding your profile In the description box, I believe you can use words redundantly for 5 to 7 times. Although it is not necessary, Let’s say, video transcription, transcribing video, audio to text, transcribing audios. Words that you can mix and match to avoid getting notifications of using the words repeatedly. Always keep that in mind. If you are done with your gig description, you may highlight your specialties or your goals or you can just simply copy and edit the details here on my description box. If you’re done, you may also include Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the client and then click on save. For the requirements, I noted instructions if they have a video link to send me, or email attachment, or if I have to log-in to an account. That’s what I included in my requirements. If you think there’s something that you need to add on the requirements, you may do so by clicking on ‘Add another requirement’ and then click on save. For the gallery, this is like your ‘thumbnails’ on YouTube. This will also serve as the client’s basis whether he or she will choose your gig so make sure your Fiverr profile is very attractive. Mine, I used a red background for my cover image. My advice based on recommendations from other Fiverr sellers is to avoid blending the cover image of your gig and with that of Fiverr’s. Since Fiverr uses the colors green and white for its cover image, try to use other colors other than green and white. Clients won’t notice your profile easily when there is no contrast with the choice of the cover image. For example, I use red. Other sellers use brown, blue, purple or yellow. It depends on your versatility but as much as possible, avoid blending in with the same colors. 3 cover images should be uploaded when creating a gig. The first photo upload is the one that you should focus on and emphasize. That image will be your front-liner for your gig. Make sure to make it more attractive to clients. With mine, I used my pictures for a change. But it’s up to you on what cover image you want to create. Others used cover images of laptops, which makes it more common. Make sure you stand out in terms of choice of colors or images, so that clients will recognize you more. If for example, you chose the same design along with the others with smaller texts and dull colors, it will be less likely for clients to notice your gig, especially when you have no reviews yet, And I am also a beginner to this gig. The other images are supporting photos, you may decide if you want to take your time with your photo uploads. What I did with my gig was I added other photos, and use other font colors, and the third image I uploaded is a picture of someone typing, or you may choose laptop images. The most important upload is your first image for your gig. You can create an image using Canva, and if you are not yet familiar with it, you can learn it for free by our video tutorial about creating graphics using Canva. I am going to include the link on the description box as a guide on how to do graphic design. The sizes of images should be 550 x 370 (550 – Width / 370 – Length) And you can start creating designs for your cover image, or your cover photos using Canva. If you want to create another video just like with TransExpert, I will click on “switch to selling’, so that I can find her profile. “Hey there, Fiverr fan. It’s me Prixie, and for this gig for $5, I will transcribe up to 10 minutes of your English audio or video.” So, you may choose to make video presentations which is more advisable here on Fiverr. It’s an additional point for your profile plus clients will surely notice you, and it’s more enticing to look at. Let’s go back to “switch to buying”. If you prefer to add a video introduction or pdf, that will certainly make your profile more interesting, and then just save it. You will receive an email notification to congratulate you on your first gig on Fiverr. Now, as promised, there is one simple way or automatically you can transcribe your audio to text or video to text. Considering that you already have a Google Drive account, simply go to “new” and then Google docs And then at the very top, you click on Tools and voice typing. Once you’re done, click the mic and start speaking, or whatever you’ll say will be documented here in Google docs. It can be Tagalog or any other language. Anything it hears through the mic will be noted. But this Google doc is mainly used for human language. I have another hack to share with you where you can document or record using your mobile phone. As you all notice, certain parts in that paragraph are incorrect. like this word, (anguish), it’s your job to double-check or edit the words that don’t fit in the sentences. It’s not necessarily perfect because some factors might affect the way it hears every word that you are saying like background noises. It could be because of loud music, or wind, or the speaker has a strong accent. So it’s up to you to edit or fix anything to make it more appropriate. Now, as promised, this is the other hack that I would like to teach you using your mobile phone. Here’s another way that you can use to automatically transcribe your audio to text using your mobile phone. Now, as mentioned, try to open your mobile messages or notes, then you can see a small mic here. Just click it and hit the “tap to say something” then it will start listening to everything that you’re gonna say here will start typing through your mobile notes. And now, I’m going to show you by watching YouTube videos on my desktop by putting this near the speaker to start recording. I hope that you enjoyed watching our video for today. If you have comments or suggestions, even feedbacks, and shout outs, make sure to write it down under this video. Let’s see each other again in our next video! Have a great day momShees! Buh-bye!
